MOSCOW, Dec 11 (PRIME) -- Several major Russian retailers have supported a proposal to limit the markup on all chicken eggs at no more than 5%, a spokesperson for the Federal Antimonopoly Service said late on December 8.
“The Federal Antimonopoly Service suggested that retailers to consider limiting the markup on all chicken eggs at the level of no more than 5% as a temporary measure,” the person said.
“Retail chain “Verny” supported the service's proposal: markups for purchases at tenders are already limited, the issue of a similar limitation for purchases under long-term supply contracts is being worked out,” the person added.
